Tony Turner will be giving an illustrated talk about the The MacRobertson Trophy Air Race of 1934  In the 1930’s a great air race from England to Australia was staged to mark the centenary of the founding of the city of Melbourne. The race attracted aircraft of many types and capabilities from all over the world. Share the drama of the participants as they raced 11,000 miles and discover how the results affected the future of commercial aviation.

Free and available to all interested. Sadly no refreshments, however you are free to make your own drinks and prepare your own cakes. Wear your aviation hats. Biggles away…
